About designer and design

Designer

The IMD Grotesk was designed by the German brand and web designer Nic Kraneis. It was created for the Intermedia Design course at Trier University of Applied Sciences and made available to students and the wider world under the Open Font Licence.
You can find more of Nic's work here.

Design

IMD Grotesk is a sans-serif grotesque typeface with lots of sharp geometric edges and alternative, experimental glyphs. It's currently available in six weights, from extra light to bold, and was created using FontForge, an open-source font editor. IMD Grotesk is licensed under the Open Font License (OFL), and you can download, edit and use it for free.
